Jahari Long is following his head coach to Maryland.
Friday, Long announced that he will be transferring to Maryland after entering his name into the NCAA transfer portal. He was previously a guard at Seton Hall, where he played for new Terrapins head coach Kevin Willard.
Long made the announcement with a post on Twitter. He played in just 5 games for the Pirates during the 2021-22 campaign because a knee injury.

Over the last two seasons at Seton Hall, Long averaged 1 points, 0.7 rebounds and 0.7 assists per game. He appeared in a total 24 contests, making 2 starts.
Long will join Jahmir Young (Charlotte) and Donald Carey (Georgetown) as the third transfer guard to commit to Maryland.
Maryland closed out the 2021-22 season with a 15-17 mark and a 7-13 record in B1G play. Mark Turgeon stepped down early in the season and Danny Manning was named the interim head coach.
Willard was hired after the season to begin a new era in College Park.
