Some of the best players from the transfer portal are heading to the B1G for the 2022 season. A list from 247Sports indicates that 3 Top 20 talents to enter the database this offseason will be playing in the league this fall.

Nebraska’s Ochaun Mathis (TCU), Michigan’s Vic Oluwatimi (Virginia) and Ohio State’s Tanner McCalister (Oklahoma State) all made the cut — occupying spots No. 12-14, respectively.

All three are expected to make huge impacts during the 2022 campaign in the B1G.

Mathis comes to Nebraska after spending the past four years making major contributions along TCU’s defensive front. During his career, he racked up 133 stops with 26 tackles for loss and 12.5 sacks. He was also credited with 4 pass break-ups.

Oluwatimi was a second-team All-American selection while at Virginia and will add immediate talent and experience to Michigan’s offensive front. It’s a huge boost for the Wolverines, especially for a team loaded with talent at the skill positions.

McCalister brings much-needed depth to Ohio State’s secondary and knows Jim Knowles’ system, having played under the new Buckeye defensive coordinator at Oklahoma State. McCalister had 123 tackles, 12 pass break-ups and an interception while with the Cowboys.
