Indiana has found its quarterback of the 2023 recruiting cycle.

This week, the Hoosiers received a verbal commitment from 3-star gunslinger Broc Lowry, a native of Canfield, Ohio. He’s the third player of the recruiting cycle to give a pledge to Tom Allen and the staff at IU.

Lowry, who held offers from nearly 10 schools, announced his decision on Twitter.

“I am blessed to announce my commitment to Indiana University!” Lowry wrote. “I couldn’t have done it without the help from my parents, teammates and coaches. … “Huge thanks to Coach (Walt) Bell and Coach Allen for the opportunity to play at the next level. Go Hoosiers.”

Lowry is listed as a 6-foot-3, 195-pound quarterback in the 2023 class. He does not have any composite rankings, but 247Sports lists him as a 3-star prospect and the No. 56 passer of the cycle.

Indiana beat 7 schools for Lowry’s verbal pledge. Other programs to extend an offer included Buffalo, Dartmouth, Illinois State, Iowa State, Toledo, Western Michigan and Youngstown State.

The Hoosiers have just 3 verbal commitments in the 2023 class at this time, ranking No. 68 nationally.
