Penn State has announced the dates and opponents for two of its biggest games of the year — the White Out and Stripe Out contests. And it will come with a bit of a change of pace.

This year, Penn State’s annual White Out game will be on Saturday, Oct. 22 when the Nittany Lions square off against Minnesota. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET.

In the past, Penn State has typically reserved the White Out game for games against Michigan or Ohio State.

The last meeting between Penn State and Minnesota took place in 2019 in Minneapolis. The Golden Gophers defeated the Nittany Lions 31-26 en route to an 11-2 campaign.

Penn State won a thrilling overtime contest in 2016 at Beaver Stadium, the last meeting in State College. That game catapulted the Nittany Lions to a B1G title run and a Rose Bowl berth.

Penn State and Minnesota have met 15 times with the Lions owning a 9-6 advantage all-time.

The annual Stripe Out game will be reserved for Penn State’s home game against Ohio State. That showdown is set for Saturday, Oct. 29 at Beaver Stadium.

Ohio State has won the last five meetings with Penn State, with the Nittany Lions last victory coming in 2016.
