While Jones’ biggest asset is in the return game – he averaged 25.4 yards per kick return in 2021 with a touchdown – he also brings some depth to Purdue’s wide receiver room. Jones had 323 yards receiving and 3 touchdowns in 2021.
With David Bell off to the NFL, Milton Wright’s sudden departure due to academics and the departure of veteran Jackson Anthrop, Jones is among a group of incoming transfers to help Purdue’s receiving room. The Boilermakers also added Tyrone Tracy (Iowa) and Elijah Canion (Auburn) via the transfer portal.
