Nebraska basketball lands first commitment for 2023 with 3-star PG out of South Carolina

Nebraska is looking to build out its recruiting class for 2023, and Fred Hoiberg and the Huskers landed a commitment on Friday.
The commitment comes from Chase Clemmons, a 3-star point guard out of Greenville, South Carolina. He revealed his commitment to Nebraska over offers from Houston, Georgia, Georgetown, and Xavier among others.

Listed at 6-feet and 165 lbs., the 247 Sports Composite Rankings list Clemmons as the No. 4 player out of South Carolina for 2023. He’s also the No. 36 point guard nationally for the cycle.
Clemmons becomes Nebraska’s first commitment for the 2023 cycle. Now, it’s up to Hoiberg and his staff to round out the class and try to improve on the 2022 ranking. The Huskers ranked 43rd in the country with their 2022 recruiting class.
