There’s a chance that Jacob Grandison could continue to play in the B1G.
According to ESPN’s Jeff Borzello, Grandison has a list of schools he’s considering for his next home after entering the NCAA transfer portal. Michigan could be a potential landing spot for the senior.
Borzello says Grandison is also considering USC, BYU, UCLA, DePaul, Arizona, Iowa State, Kentucky, Oregon and Duke. He entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal after withdrawing from the 2022 NBA Draft.

Grandison proved to be an effective scorer for the Illini last season, especially from behind the 3-point line. He shot 41% from deep last season while averaging 9.6 points per contest. He was a key piece for a team that won a B1G regular season title.
Along with averaging just under a double-figure scoring total, Grandison also posted 3.8 rebounds and 2.3 assists per contest.
Over his four years on the floor, Grandison is averaging 9.4 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists per contest. He’s appeared in 124 games and made 90 starts. He’ll have one year of eligibility to use at his next destination.
Michigan was one of just two teams to reach the Sweet 16 from the B1G last season. The Wolverines will be entering Year 4 of the Juwan Howard era.
