Illinois hit a roll over the weekend with a trio of commitments for the class of 2023 on Sunday. That streak continued into Monday with a QB commitment.

This time, it comes from Cal Swanson, a QB out of Ardmore, Oklahoma. Listed at 6-foot-2 and 181 lbs., Swanson has so far been unrated by the composite rankings.

Sunday’s commitments came from Florida OT Rico Jackson, Illinois Edge prospect Pat Farrell and Kentucky DL Jamarrion Harkless. Illinois has now climbed the team recruiting rankings all the way to No. 30 heading into the heart of June.

Bret Bielema and his staff continue to put in the work on the road to try and rebuild the program. The Illini turned in the 60th ranked recruiting class in 2022, so the jump in 2023 to this point is a huge sign for the future.
