With the NBA Draft entry deadline past, teams across the country have a better idea of what their rosters will look like this season. Though a couple of key pieces remain available via the transfer portal, most of the offseason movement is completed.

With that in mind, BTN analyst Andy Katz revealed his updated outlook for the B1G Power Rankings entering the 2022-23 season. After some key departures – including Moussa Diabate and Caleb Houstan to the NBA Draft – Michigan checked in at No. 4.

On the other side of things, Illinois checked in at No. 3 thanks in large part to some key arrivals via the portal. That includes Matthew Mayer out of Baylor and Terrance Shannon out of Texas Tech.

Atop Katz’s Power Rankings is Indiana with expectations high for Mike Woodson’s second season with the program.

“The Hoosiers return Trayce Jackson-Davis…he could be the B1G Player of the Year, first-team All-American and I’m going with Indiana at No. 1,” said Katz.

At No. 2 and rounding out the top 4, Katz has Tom Izzo’s Michigan State squad despite losing 5-star freshman Max Christie:

“No. 2 Michigan State – yes, they lost Max Christie,” Katz explained, “But Joey Hauser, Malik Hall and a backcourt of Tyson Walker and A.J. Hoggard. I think the Spartans start the season at No. 2.”

Here is how Katz sees all 14 teams entering the summer:
