NBC has reportedly found someone who will end up replacing former Purdue QB Drew Brees. It will be someone who most recently was an assistant coach in the NFL per Andrew Marchand of the New York Post.
The person that will be taking Brees’ place on the NBC NFL Pregame Show ‘Football Night in America’ is going to be Jason Garrett. The Former Dallas Cowboys head coach was most recently the offensive coordinator for the New York Giants before getting fired in November of 2021. Brees left in May after it was reported that he might not be coming back for another season with broadcast company.
With how much the broadcast booths are going to be changing for the 2022 season, nothing is surprising anymore. This should definitely be interesting to watch either way.
Garrett’s 1st Sunday Night Football game would be on Sept. 11 when his former team the Dallas Cowboys take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC.
