Avery is listed at 6-foot-5 and 230 lbs. According to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, Avery is the No. 5 player out of Maryland and the No. 20 overall Edge prospect in the nation. He is also a top-300 prospect regardless of position for 2023.

As things currently stand, Maryland has just 3 pledges for the cycle. Landing Avery and keeping him in-state would be a huge boost for the Terrapins and would make him the highest-rated commit in the current group.
