The 2022 NBA Draft went off Thursday night with a strong showing by the B1G.

In total, the conference had 4 first-round selections with 3 of those players becoming top-10 picks. Keegan Murray (Sacramento Kings) and Jaden Ivey (Detroit Pistons) came off the board in the top 5.

After the first round, the B1G continued to have a busy night with 5 more selections in the second round. That group included a pair of highly-touted Michigan freshmen and another pair of freshmen out of the conference.

Here are the B1G selections from the second round and where they are headed to begin their NBA careers:

  • No. 32 Orlando Magic: Caleb Houstan, F, Michigan
  • No. 35 Los Angeles Lakers: Max Christie, G, Michigan State
  • No. 40 Charlotte Hornets (via trade with Minnesota Timberwolves): Bryce McGowens, G/F, Nebraska
  • No. 41 New Orleans Pelicans: E.J. Liddell, F, Ohio State
  • No. 43 Los Angeles Clippers: Moussa Diabate, F, Michigan

Some of the notable players that went undrafted include Illinois’ Kofi Cockburn, Michigan State’s Gabe Brown and Purdue’s Trevion Williams. Many of the undrafted players will try and land free-agent deals and head to the Summer League.
