Nebraska is looking to put in some great work on the in-state recruiting trail for 2023, and the Huskers landed another key commitment on Friday.
This time, the pledge came from Maverick Noon, a 6-foot-4 and 225 lb. Edge prospect out of Elkhorn South High School in Omaha. Noonan had drawn a host of Power 5 offers from across the country, including from Michigan State, Iowa and Minnesota from the B1G.

According to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, Noonan is a 3-star prospect and No. 48 Edge recruit nationally for the class of 2023. He is also rated the No. 4 player out of Nebraska for the cycle.
With Noonan’s pledge, the Huskers now hold commitments from 5 of the top 8 in-state recruits out of Nebraska for the cycle. Top in-state prospect and 4-star ATH Malachi Coleman is uncommitted but remains a target for Scott Frost and his staff.
As things currently stand, Nebraska’s 2023 recruiting class is up to 24th nationally on the team recruiting rankings.
