Maryland gets pledge from in-state 2023 3-star LB

Daniel Wingate announced his commitment to Maryland on Wednesday. He is a LB recruit from Laurel, Maryland.
Wingate is a 3-star LB per the 247Sports Composite. He chose the Terrapins over Akron, Boston College, Bowling Green, and Buffalo. Wingate attends St. Vincent Pallotti High School, and is from the 2023 class. He comes in at 6-foot-3, 215 pounds.
Wingate is Mike Locksley’s 15th commitment from the 2023 class. The Terrapins currently have the No. 12 recruiting class in the B1G. Wingate is the 1st LB to commit to Maryland from the 2023 class so far.
It looks like Locksley has been able to recruit the state of Maryland well so far. Wingate is now the 6th recruit from Maryland that has decided to stay home. Here are some highlights from his junior season:
