Former Purdue guard Jaden Ivey was drafted by the Detroit Pistons with the 5th overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft. In his 1st NBA Summer League game against the Portland Trailblazers, he dropped 20 points, 6 assists, and 6 rebounds.
The Pistons went on to beat the Trailblazers 81-78. It may be early, but Purdue’s leading scorer is picking up right where he left off. Ivey averaged 17.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 3.1 assists in his final season with the Boilermakers.
In the video, Ivey can be seen dishing the ball to his teammates, facilitating the offense, and scoring the ball when he needs to. Purdue fans will know this all too well, much like how Ivey played in college.
Pistons and Purdue fans alike can watch Ivey take on the Trailblazers again on Friday at 12 a.m. ET on ESPN.
