Former Golden Gopher Marion Barber III died of heat stroke, report says

Former Minnesota Golden Gopher, Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Bears running back Marion Barber III passed away on June 1 at the age of 38.
According to the Collin County medical examiner’s office via Pro Football Talk, Barber passed away from a heat stroke.
Barber was found following a welfare check. The autopsy report states officers found Barber with the thermostat reading 91 degrees and exercise equipment present.
“Mr. Barber was known to exercise in sauna-like conditions,” the coroner wrote.
Barber spent six of his seven NFL seasons with the Cowboys, rushing for more than 4,000 yards and 47 touchdowns. He went on to spend the with the 2011 season with the Chicago Bears. He was drafted in 2005 by the Cowboys with the 109th overall pick.
