E.J. Liddell went down with a right knee injury in an NBA Summer League game against the Atlanta Hawks on Monday. It is not looking good for the New Orleans Pelicans rookie.
The Pelicans confirmed that Liddell suffered a torn ACL in his right knee on Tuesday per Griffin Strom of Eleven Warriors. Liddell had an MRI done during the 3rd quarter of the game to confirm what the injury was. The team stated that Liddell will be out indefinitely. Liddell finished the game with 6 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists.
Liddell’s injury was tweeted about by the Pelicans Twitter account. Hopefully he’ll make a speedy recovery.
