UCLA and USC are set for 2 more seasons in the Pac-12. Come 2024, though, both programs will make their much-anticipated jump to the Big Ten.
While both universities haven’t seen overwhelming success on the football field of late, there’s plenty to be excited for in 2022. The Bruins played to an 8-4 record (6-3 in conference) under Chip Kelly in 2021, while Lincoln Riley will hope to right the ship for the Trojans in his first season in L.A.
That being said, when both teams debut in the B1G, ticket prices are in line to see an increase—as much as 30 percent, according to a Front Office Sports interview with Kyle Zorn of TickPick:
Matchups against marquee Big Ten programs like Ohio State and Michigan will drive up prices significantly — even if those against schools like Rutgers or Maryland are less popular, Zorn said.

In addition, “football fans tend to travel more than any other sport,” Zorn said. Big Ten fans will make a “destination” out of going to games in Los Angeles, while USC and UCLA fans will be interested in traveling to top football markets like Ann Arbor or Columbus.
Zorn went on to state that while other B1G programs may not face as significant a price increase, they’ll still benefit from added ticket revenue when the new schools arrive. Whatever the going rate ends up being, though, Bruins and Trojans fans will simply hope the on-the-field product is worth watching.
