Former Michigan QB Tom Brady had an interesting offseason, retiring in February and then announcing he was un-retiring in March. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB revealed what the next couple of years could look like for him in terms of his retirement per Ramin Setoodeh of Variety.
No one knows when Brady will truly retire except for Brady himself. However, he will have a job lined up for him Fox Sports as a broadcaster when he retires. He led the NFL with 5,316 yards passing and 43 touchdowns last season, so why wouldn’t he come back?
Brady stated that his retirement is still in the balance, and is changing year to year. He also said that he wants to go out his way. Here’s what he said when asked if he knows when he’ll retire from football:
“I really don’t,” said Brady. “I would say it’s year to year: Could this be my last year? Absolutely. Could I change my mind? Absolutely. I’ve realized I don’t have five years left. I want to do it my way. I want to give it everything I got and see where I’m at. My body feels really good. I’ve had a lot of traumatic injuries over the years, but if things go really smoothly and we win, that’d be great.
Brady could be around for a few more years at this rate.
