Marvel Allen, 4-star combo guard for 2023, keeps B1G program in top 6

Marvel Allen is one of the best college basketball prospects in the country for the class of 2023. On Friday, he made cuts to his list of potential destinations.
Out of the B1G, Juwan Howard’s Michigan program was able to make the cut on Allen’s top 6 list. The Wolverines were joined by Arizona State, Georgetown, Kansas, Texas A&M and LSU.

Listed at 6-foot-4 and 190 lbs., Allen is a 4-star combo guard out of Montverde Academy in Montverde, Florida. According to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, Allen is the No. 6 CG for the class of 2023 and the No. 27 overall prospect in the country.
Michigan has yet to earn a commitment for the class of 2023 after landing the No. 8 recruiting class in the country for the class of 2022. Getting a player like Allen would be a nice jumpstart for Howard and company.
