Gennings Dunker arrived at Iowa as a member of the 2021 recruiting class. Friday evening, he captured a big win for his career, only this one did not come on the football field.

Alongside a number of teammates, Dunker took part in the 20th Annual Hay Bale Toss at the Solon Beef Days in Solon, Iowa. According to correspondent Douglas Miles, Dunker cleared a mark of 12 feet, 6 inches with his winning toss.

Dunker did not appear in action during the 2021 season. Listed at 6-foot-5 and 290 lbs., Dunker was a 3-star prospect out of Lena, Illinois for the 2021 recruiting class.

According to the players taking part in the hay bale toss, it was no less stressful than an actual game in a Hawkeye uniform.

“I was kind of stressed the whole time,” Dunker said according to John Steppe with The Gazette.
