Super-Bowl hero James White agrees to extension with Patriots
James White got his classic Super Bowl moment, his Walt Disney World parade and his truck.
On Tuesday night, White got his money.
The former Wisconsin star and Super-Bowl LI hero reached an extension with the Patriots that will keep him in New England for the next four years.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the deal is worth a maximum of $15 million.

The 2010 B1G Freshman of the Year played on his rookie contract in 2016. He made an average of $654,272 under his first NFL deal.

The former fourth-round pick emerged in his third NFL season with 39 carries for 166 yards and 60 receptions for 551 yards. He set Super Bowl records with 14 receptions and 20 total points, including the game-winning score in overtime, to lead the Patriots to their second title in three years.
White will be a fixture of a New England backfield that now includes former Nebraska star Rex Burkhead, who signed with the Patriots as a free agent this offseason.
