Incoming Ohio State freshman discusses adjustment to college basketball, offseason training

Ohio State basketball freshman Bowen Hardman is now making the transition from high school to college basketball. He spoke about what has helped him so far, and the offseason is going for him per Griffin Strom of Eleven Warriors.
Hardman was a former 3-star recruit per the 247Sports Composite. It hasn’t gotten any easier for him, however. He stated that the transition from high school to college has been good, and that everyone knows their role.
It’s been good, I think that our young guys and even are older guys are doing really well. We are getting stronger, I think our biggest challenge is just in the weight room,” Hardman told Eleven Warriors Sunday. “But on the court, I think we’re all doing a great job and doing our parts.”
What has helped Hardman the most is his shooting. What he has helped the most in that department is the coaching that he has gotten from Ohio State’s coaches on it. Hardman is really liking the hands-on approach that the Buckeyes are taking with him.
“Definitely my shooting has been a big factor that’s helped me a lot through the workouts,” Hardman said. “Definitely coming off ball screens, just reading plays. I think that’s been the best part for me so far. … It’s awesome (working with the Buckeye coaches). Just to get that hands-on experience with them right there telling you what to do different, what to do better. But also at the same time praising you for what you do well. It’s great to get that coaching.”
