Pittsburgh HC Pat Narduzzi has decided to stoke the Michigan State fire once again. This time, he joined ‘93.7 The Fan’ in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to talk about his previous Peach Bowl comments.
Narduzzi already fired up the Michigan State fanbase after claiming that former Pittsburgh QB Kenny Pickett would have given the Panthers a 21-point difference if he played. Pickett and Michigan State RB Kenneth Walker III both opted out of the game to prepare for the 2022 NFL Draft.
The Panthers HC defended what he said in a recent interview, saying that it’s just the facts. He also mentioned that Pitt was without CB Damarri Mathis as well.
Here’s what he had to say after finding out his previous comments angered Spartans fans:
“That’s tough luck cause there’s a thing called facts,” said Narduzzi. “It’s facts. We didn’t have Kenny Pickett play, we didn’t have Damarri Mathis playing. That’s just the way I felt. It came about talking about Pickett not playing in the bowl game. I didn’t mean for all of that to come, but it’s the absolute truth really.”
Pat Narduzzi doubled down on the whole “we would have beaten Michigan State if Pickett played” stuff on the show with us today.
