Maryland lands commitments from pair of four-star DeMatha linemen
No matter what happens in Saturday’s spring game, Maryland already won the day.
The Terps started the Saturday off with a bang by getting not one, but two commitments from four-star DeMatha (Md.) linemen.
Four-star guard Evan Gregory and four-star defensive tackle Austin Fontaine both gave their verbal pledges to the Terps:
Congrats to DeMatha football players Austin Fountaine and Evan Gregory on their commitments to @TerpsFootball @DeMathaFootball

That’s big-time news for Maryland. Fontaine and Gregory became the Terps’ top two recruits in their 2018 class.
Fontaine is the No. 7 defensive tackle and the No. 69 player overall in the 2018 class. Gregory is the No. 14 offensive guard and the No. 282 player overall in the 2018 class.
The DeMatha Catholic linemen are both among the top 10 Maryland recruits. Fontaine has offers from the likes of Clemson, Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State and others. Gregory picked the Terps instead of Rutgers, Syracuse, Virginia and others.
With that news, Maryland now has five commitments in its 2018 class, which ranks No. 8 in the B1G and No. 27 nationally.
