Purdue OL heading for the transfer portal, per report

Purdue offensive lineman Gus German is reportedly going into the transfer portal. Tom Dienhart of Rivals reported on the news from his Twitter account on Tuesday.
German was going into his redshirt sophomore season with the Boilermakers. He was a walk-on recruit from Lafayette Central Catholic High in Lafayette, Indiana. German did not see action during his time at Purdue, however he was named Academic All-B1G in 2021.

Purdue has also lost RB Sampson James in the month of July as well. James was a former 4-star recruit per the 247Sports Composite. Other recent departures via the transfer portal have been S Marvin Grant, CB Anthony Rompf, CB Bryce Austin, DL Jeff Marks, LB Khali Saunders, and CB Elijah Bell.
Maybe a change of scenery will do him some good.
