2023 recruiting class rankings are still fluctuating as the calendar turns into August. As we hit a new month, high school football camps and schedules will ramp up with the fall season quickly approaching.

Coming out of July, a number of programs have improved their slots for the 2023 cycle while some slipped slightly. Most notably, Ryan Day and his 2023 class for Ohio State continue to lead the way.

The Buckeyes have been in and out of the top spot for the class of 2023 a few times. As things currently stand, Ohio State is at No. 2 overall on the 247 Sports team recruiting rankings behind Notre Dame.

In terms of big movers, Jim Harbaugh’s Michigan squad has jumped up 17 spots from No. 50 entering July to No. 33 entering August. There is still some work to do for the Wolverines throughout the summer and fall.
