Ohio State had some interesting prospects sign with the 2020 recruiting class. The Buckeyes had 4-star quarterback C.J. Stroud and 4-star wide receiver Jaxson Smith-Njigba who have blossomed into superstars. They also had 3-star kicker Jake Seibert from Cincinnati, Ohio, according to 247Sports.

For two seasons, Seibert has been on the roster as a kicker. Going into the 2022 season, Seibert is making a significant change in Fall Camp. Nathan Bird of Cleveland.com reported that Seibert is not only a kicker but also participating as a cornerback. 11 Warrior’s Dan Hope confirmed that report.

In the 2020 season, Seibert played in 3 games with Ohio State as he was 16-of-16 in extra points and 1-of-2 in field goals as the backup kicker. He did not play a game this past season for Ohio State.

Seibert provides depth at the cornerback group for Ohio State with only six scholarship corners coming in. Ohio State could have three scholarship kickers on their roster if USC’s Parker Lewis is cleared for eligibility.
