Nebraska announced the addition of transfer defensive back Brandon Moore to the program.

Moore came to Nebraska from Florida State. He was part of Florida State’s program during the 2021 season as a transfer, but he did not play for the Seminoles. Before his one season at Florida State, Moore spent 4 seasons at UCF.

The last time Moore played was in 2020 when he appeared in 1 game for UCF. In 2019 and 2020, Moore played in a total of 2 games. His last full season as a defensive back was in 2018 when he had 43 total tackles in 12 games (Via College Football at Sports Reference).

He saw serious playing time for UCF in 2017 and 2018 when the program reached two consecutive New Year’s Six bowl games. After nearly five seasons since he played an entire season, Moore will attempt to revive his college career.

Moore’s eligibility for the 2022 season is unknown at this point, but it appears that Moore will suit up for Nebraska before the end of his playing career. As Moore heads into his 6th season in college football, he hopes to find a solid foundation with the Cornhuskers.

The season begins on Aug. 27 for Nebraska and it remains unclear if Moore will be on the field for the season opener against Northwestern.
