The Big Ten media rights deal reports got the attention of the college football community on Monday night.

On Tuesday morning, it was confirmed that ESPN is no longer in the mix. Sports fans and media are starting to imagine what a B1G college football Saturday could look like from a schedule perspective.

The B1G’s new media rights deal reportedly involves headlining contests on FOX, CBS and NBC. FOX would obviously have a “Big Noon Kickoff” game. CBS has long broadcast its feature “SEC on CBS” games at 3:30 p.m. ET. NBC would likely be broadcasting a primetime night kickoff of 7:30 p.m. or 8 p.m. ET. It makes for a potentially exciting lineup.

It also, interestingly, sets up for head-to-head ratings battles with ESPN and the SEC.
