Big Ten media rights: Here’s what a B1G CFB Saturday TV schedule could look like under new deal

The Big Ten media rights deal reports got the attention of the college football community on Monday night.
On Tuesday morning, it was confirmed that ESPN is no longer in the mix. Sports fans and media are starting to imagine what a B1G college football Saturday could look like from a schedule perspective.
The B1G’s new media rights deal reportedly involves headlining contests on FOX, CBS and NBC. FOX would obviously have a “Big Noon Kickoff” game. CBS has long broadcast its feature “SEC on CBS” games at 3:30 p.m. ET. NBC would likely be broadcasting a primetime night kickoff of 7:30 p.m. or 8 p.m. ET. It makes for a potentially exciting lineup.
In a few years, a Saturday of Big Ten football could look like this:

It also, interestingly, sets up for head-to-head ratings battles with ESPN and the SEC.
You can see it now starting in 2023:
Noon: Big Ten on Fox
3:30: Big Ten on CBS
7:30: Big Ten on NBCAnd starting a year later, ESPN will be able to counter-program with:
Noon: SEC on ABC/ESPN
3:30: SEC on ABC/ESPN
7:30: SEC or ACC on ABC/ESPN— Stewart Mandel (@slmandel) August 9, 2022
