247 Sports analyst includes Ohio State championship squad among ‘most-hated’ teams

Who are the most hated college football teams of all time since 1985? Well according to a list done by 24/7 Sports, several teams qualify but a few may surprise you.

To no one’s surprise, the SEC had three teams to make the list in Florida, Auburn, and Texas A&M. Surprisingly the kings of college football, Alabama, didn’t have any of their championship teams make the list despite the fact they have dominated the game recently.
The only B1G representative was the Ohio State Buckeyes. The Buckeyes 2002 team checked in at No. 8 on the list.
According to 247 Sports analyst Brad Crawford, the reason why this team was hated so much was because of the good fortune they seem to have that season under then-head coach Jim Tressel, including a controversial call at the end of the national championship game against Miami that cost the Hurricanes a title.
Not to mention freshman running back Maurice Clarett a trash-talking ballcarrier who no one seemed to like in the B1G or nationally. He couldn’t stay out of trouble and was later dismissed by the university.
Miami fans shouldn’t be too upset as their 1986 team, coached by Jimmy Johnson, top this list as most hated. That team led by the likes of Michael Irvin who would later play for Johnson with the Dallas Cowboys, trash-talked, finger pointed and showboated their way to the top spot.
