Purdue has reportedly lost another player to a season-ending injury. This time, the injury comes on the defensive side of the ball to defensive tackle Damarjhe Lewis.

According to Tom Dienhart with GoldandBlack.com, Lewis went down with an ankle injury Thursday. That injury is expected to end Lewis’ season with surgery for the injury expected to come next week.

Lewis transferred into Purdue from Indiana for the 2021 season and was expected to be a key rotational piece in 2022. He had 8 tackles and a TFL last season.

Purdue also lost tight end Garrett Miller to injury to open the week. Miller was likely in line for the No. 2 tight end spot alongside Payne Durham.

Hopefully, these injuries do not set back the Boilermakers in 2022.
