John Calipari has upset the Kentucky football community with some recent comments about UK.
Discussing the Wildcats’ need for a practice facility, Calipari called UK a basketball school. Kentucky football coach Mark Stoops took exception to the quote shared by The Athletic. Stoops Troops are coming off a 10-win campaign in 2021 and 4-straight bowl victories.
Basketball school? I thought we competed in the SEC? #4straightpostseasonwins https://t.co/xUoKmUeonH

Max Duffy, a former Kentucky punter under Stoops, took a shot at Calipari’s squad, asking if the UK football ever lost to St. Peters. Calipari’s Wildcats were a No. 2 seed in the 2022 NCAA Tournament, but went 0-1 in March Madness thanks to a shocking upset by No. 15 seed St. Peters.
Completely out of the blue question but has the Kentucky football team ever lost to St.Peters? 💙
