Daniel Faalele, a rookie offensive tackle for the Baltimore Ravens, played the entire first preseason game against the Tennessee Titans on Thursday night.
The Ravens won by 13 points, 23-10, and Faalele’s large presence was felt throughout the game. While it is not common for an offensive lineman to play without taking a break, Faalele needed the snaps to prove that he belongs on Baltimore’s roster.
Ravens rookie OT Daniel Faalele has played this whole game so far, as has Tyre Phillips. These are important reps for Faalele, who seems to be holding up well.

In rookie camp, Faalele had trouble with his conditioning. Nearly 3 months after his issues, he seems to have figured out how to stay on the field (Via Baltimore Ravens):
“The rookie played the entire game after struggling with his stamina during rookie camp. Faalele has obviously worked hard this summer and it paid off in his debut, and he threw a nice block on Mike Davis’ first-quarter touchdown run,” The Baltimore Ravens website said.
He played a role in running back Mike Davis scoring in the first quarter. If Faalele can continue to stay on the field for the next 2 preseason games, he could secure playing time during the regular season.
Faalele, a 4th-round draft pick from Minnesota, was drafted to protect Lamar Jackson and it appears that Faalele will be able to do that. Expect Faalele to see significant playing time in the next preseason game against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, Aug. 21.
