Ronnie Bell is ready to begin the 2022 season following a season-ending injury in Michigan’s 2021 season opener.
Bell was set to be one of Michigan’s primary threats in the passing game in 2021. Those plans came to a crashing halt when Bell suffered a season-ending right knee injury in the first game of the season against Western Michigan.
Michigan had to adapt to playing without Bell and fortunately for the Wolverines, the 2021 season ended with a B1G Championship. With Bell expected to be fully healthy for the regular season, Michigan will have another weapon for Cade McNamara and J.J. McCarthy to throw to.

Bell spoke about his return to the program after missing most of last season:
“I feel really good. My body feels great, making plays and it’s fun, a lotta fun,” Bell said.
In 2019 and 2020, Bell led Michigan in receptions and was Michigan’s top target on offense. He had carried significant momentum into his senior season in 2021, but that momentum was taken away after his injury.
With another opportunity to regain the momentum he built up during his sophomore and junior seasons, Bell looks ready to be one of the best wide receivers in the B1G. Michigan wants to return to the College Football Playoff and Bell will be an important piece for Michigan in 2022.
