Keon Coleman doesn’t believe in 50/50 balls. No, he’s way too confident in himself to reduce it to something that simple.

He confirmed that Monday morning following Michigan State’s 1st scrimmage.

“(I’m) going to come down with it nine times out of 10.” Coleman told Ryan Black of the Lansing State Journal. “… Just throw it. I’ll be down there somewhere.”

Coleman saw action in 10 games as a freshman last season and is looking to assume a starting role for the Spartans in Year 2. He snagged 7 receptions for 50 yards and 1 touchdown on the season in what was a fair passing offense.

Oh, but that’s only the beginning in his eyes. Here comes that confidence again.

“I do feel like I’m due for a breakout season,” Coleman said Monday. “So we’ll be on the lookout for that.”
