Joe Royer was offered $250 to shave his hair. He declined.
The 6-foot-5, 245 pound Tight End was asked by Zak Herbstreit, a walk-on tight end at Ohio State and son of ESPN Analyst Kirk Herbstreit.

The hair drama continued in the Buckeyes tight ends room. Cade Stover, a 4th year tight end out of Mansfield, Ohio, made it clear he wouldn’t be growing out a “white-guy afro” like Royer any time soon.

Ohio State needs production from its tight ends unit this season, with Royer projected to play more minutes than he has in the past. Could the afro be a good luck charm?
