TA Cunningham, 5-star 2024 DL, updates recruitment; 3 B1G schools plus UCLA and USC in the hunt

T.A. Cunningham is a recruit in very high demand nationally.
A host of programs have offered the 6-foot-6, 265-pounder, a player ranked as the No. 1 defensive lineman and No. 18 overall in the class in 2024 by 247Sports.
Cunningham currently has nearly 60 offers, and on Monday, he released a list of 13 schools that he’ll focus on moving forward. Three of those schools are currently in the B1G — Michigan State, Michigan, and Penn State — as well as future conference members UCLA and USC. Florida, Florida State, LSU, Miami, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas A&M are also in the mix, along with FCS Tennessee State, coached by NFL great Eddie George.

Cunningham was formerly at Johns Creek (Ga.), outside of Atlanta, where he registered 51 tackles, 3.0 sacks, and 13.0 tackles for a loss as a sophomore. He also totaled 8 passes defensed and 7 quarterback hurries. He’ll continue his high school career at national power Los Alamitos (Calif.).
