Mel Tucker highlights true freshmen who have impressed him
Mel Tucker spoke to the media on Monday following a scrimmage. There are 3 true freshmen that have caught his eye as of late per Chris Solari of the Detroit Free Press.
Tucker has really liked WR Germie Bernard, WR Tyrell Henry, and CB Ade Willie after the team’s 1st scrimmage. He made sure to note that it was only been 1 scrimmage, and is looking for more consistency out of them.
“There’s a couple guys. I don’t want to build these guys up, because we’ve only had one scrimmage and they’re still young in the process. Consistency in performance is needed,” said Tucker.

Germie Bernard was a 4-star commit per the 247Sports Composite.Tyrell Henry and Ade Willie were both 3-star commits per the 247Sports Composite. It’s very early in their Michigan State careers, but they’re off to a good start so far.
