Joel Klatt is excited and ready for the 2022 college football season. On Tuesday, the broadcaster for FOX’s college football coverage entered the fray of people releasing preseason polls.

Unsurprisingly, Nick Saban’s Alabama squad led Klatt’s top 10. On essentially every publication, the Tide check in at No. 1 after losing the national championship game to Georgia last season.

Behind the Tide, Klatt had Ohio State. Led by Ryan Day, the Buckeyes are looking for a return trip to the College Football Playoff behind an explosive offense and new-look defense with DC Jim Knowles leading the group.

Georgia and Clemson rounded out Klatt’s top 4 teams. That group is widely expected to make up the field for the CFP. Utah and Michigan were the first two teams outside the top 4 for Klatt.

It will be interesting to see how Klatt’s selections stack up at the end of the season, particularly his inclusions of Texas A&M and USC at No. 8 and No. 10, respectively.
