Aidan O’Connell has been a ‘dominant’ QB since the 3rd grade, per Charlie Jones

Aidan O’Connell may become a household name this season if he has the type of season he had last year for the Boilermakers.
Last year, the Purdue quarterback threw for over 3,700 yards and 28 touchdowns with only 11 interceptions. Besides CJ Stroud, O’Connell was probably one of the most effective and efficient quarterbacks in the B1G.
But according to friend and new teammate Charlie Jones, O’Connell was a dominant quarterback when he was a youngster in third grade (Via GoldandBlack.com):
“Dominant,” said Jones when asked about O’Connell’s performance as a youngster. “We had like 2 routes in the playbook. and he would just throw like 40-yard bombs. No one could obviously stop it.”
No one could hardly stop O’Connell last year. He is on his way to becoming the next big quarterback to come out of Purdue and join the NFL.
Many people may have forgotten but the Boilermakers produced several great quarterbacks throughout the years like Bob Griese who played many years with the Miami Dolphins and won a Super Bowl with them. Jim Everett who played for the LA Rams and New Orleans Saints and of course Drew Brees a future NFL Hall of Famer who also played with the Saints and won the team their first Super Bowl.
O’Connell alone makes the Boilermakers a team to watch in the Big Ten this season.
