Nicholas Sanders – the son of NFL legend and Detroit Lions icon Barry Sanders – is coming to the B1G.

On Friday, Michigan State released the team roster for the 2022-23 season. Included in that roster is Sanders, a 5-foot-9 walk-on guard out of Detroit Country Day School.

While unlikely to see much – if any – playing time, it is awesome to see Sanders land in East Lansing with a shot to earn a scholarship for the Spartans. Sanders will also wear his father’s No. 20 for Michigan State.

Also included in the roster release are new numbers for incoming freshmen via the 2022 recruiting class:

  • Tre Holloman, PG – 5
  • Jaxon Kohler, PF – 0
  • Carson Cooper, C – 15

Hopefully, Michigan State can make a run toward a B1G Championship this season.
