Mark Whipple reactions pour in after Nebraska’s opening drive

Mark Whipple has a lot of fans already in Nebraska after that first drive touchdown drive.
In the offseason, Scott Frost hired Whipple to run his offense, and things paid off immediately Saturday against Northwestern. The Cornhuskers went on an 8-play, 75-yard opening touchdown drive that lasted just 2:19.
Quarterback Casey Thompson hit wide receiver Isaiah Garcia-Castaneda for a 32-yard touchdown on a beautiful pass. Remember, Whipple had a hand in developing Kenny Pickett at Pittsburgh, too, and Thompson looked great on that first drive.
Following the beautiful touchdown pass and drive, Whipple received lots of reactions on social media.
In one drive I can tell that Nebraska overs might be a thing this year like Pitt overs last year with Mark Whipple being the new OC (OC at Pitt last year). Lots of tempo and passing.

Already seeing the Mark Whipple effect with Nebraska and QB Casey Thompson.
Whipple helped Kenny Pickett take a big leap at Pitt and now he’s the OC for Cornhuskers, who just went down field on first drive to take a 7-0 lead over Northwestern.— Chris Mortensen (@mortreport) August 27, 2022
It turns out Mark Whipple might be pretty good at coordinating offenses, who knew

I think I’m going to be watching a ton of Nebraska this year… really respect Mark Whipple as a play-caller and him blending his offense with Frost’s concepts is going to be fun to watch.
