Austin Peay produces wild sequence on punt return for negative yards

Austin Peay is currently in a matchup against Western Kentucky. On one play, Austin Peay produced a wild sequence for a punt return.
Amazingly, Austin Peay maintained control of the ball but the play wound up going for negative yardage near the goal line.
After originally muffing the punt, the Austin Peay returner tried to recover as Western Kentucky scrambled for the ball. However, the Western Kentucky coverage unit bounced the ball back to the returner somehow.
After recovering the ball, the returner tried to dance around and make some yardage, even breaking a number of tackles. It didn’t last long as he was thrown back near the goal line for a negative return.
Wild plays like this are just another great reminder that college football is back, and Week 0 is awesome.

Austin Peay just gave us the most electric punt return for -8 yards in CFB history.
Loving Week 0.
