Jim Harbaugh on being denied at satellite camps: It’s a strategy by several football factories

Jim Harbaugh and satellite camps. Those two things have been as tied together over the past three years as peanut butter and jelly. Both are back in the news again.
Michigan will participate in several satellite camps this June, making appearances at 10 different locations in a nine-day span. But the Wolverines were supposed to attend at least one more, planning to team up Tulane for a camp in New Orleans.
Instead, Michigan was recently bumped out of the picture for LSU. As you can imagine, that didn’t make Harbaugh happy.
“It’s definitely a strategy by several football factories to prevent competitors on their turf,” Harbaugh told Sports Illustrated. “the kids be darned.”
Michigan was also seeking an opportunity to take part in a camp located in Texas but was told Oklahoma would be the headliner, and the Wolverines wouldn’t be allowed to attend.
Even though there are still plenty of stops and opportunities for Michigan this summer, Harbaugh would still like to be involved with as many as possible.
“It’s good for the student-athletes, good for their families, good for the game, good for the high schools,” he said.
