While Nebraska fans are panicking after the 31-28 loss to Northwestern in Ireland, safety Marques Buford Jr. is confident of his team’s potential. Not only does Buford believe the team can still contend, he believes Nebraska had its worst game of the 2022 college football season.

Defensively, Nebraska did not play well as the Huskers allowed 527 total yards, with 313 of them coming from the passing game. Northwestern averaged 8.2 yards per pass as the Huskers allowed too many big plays.

On the offensive side of the ball, Nebraska had potential as the Huskers accounted for 466 total yards. They were 9-of-16 on third down efficiency.

There is hope this season as the Huskers are in their fifth season with Scott Frost as their head coach. Nebraska hasn’t had a winning season since the 2016 college football season.
