Chase Brown should be a college football household name, but sadly, some folks still don’t know about him.
During Saturday’s Week 0 game against Wyoming, Brown gave Illinois a quick start, and he reached a career milestone in the process.
Brown eclipsed the 100-yard rushing mark in the first half against the Cowboys defense, and in doing so, he surpassed the 2,000-yard rushing mark for his career. That’s an impressive feat.

Brown, of course, started his college football career at Western Michigan and transferred to Illinois in 2019. Of the 2,000 career rushing yards, Brown recorded 352 of them his freshman season at WMU. The rest have been at Illinois.
The Illini currently lead the Cowboys 17-6 in the third quarter of Saturday’s season opener.
