Jim Harbaugh revealed who his starting DT will be with the Colorado State game coming up. He’ll be going with 1 of his underclassmen at the position per Ryan Zuke of Mlive.
True freshman DT Mason Graham is getting the start on Saturday for Michigan. Graham was a former 4-star prospect per the 247Sports Composite. He was the No. 32 DL, and the No. 19. player out of California from the 2022 class. Graham chose to enroll early at Michigan in the fall.
“He wasn’t a starter going in,” Harbaugh said Monday of Graham entering fall camp. “Really, Kris Jenkins was the starting defensive tackle going into fall camp. Now, Kris Jenkins is the starting end, so he moved from tackle to end. So, in the base package, based on a base front, we think right now that’s who our starters are.”
Harbaugh has been impressed with Graham from the beginning, and is now giving him a starting role. Michigan takes on Colorado State Saturday at Noon ET on ABC.
“He’s played good, he’s earned it and can count on him for a lot of snaps in this first game,” said Harbaugh.
The Michigan HC has also been high a transfer edge rusher Eyabi Anoma. Anoma comes to Ann Arbor from UT Martin.
