Kenneth Walker III’s first NFL training camp was hindered by a hernia issue. Now that preseason games are wrapped up, all focus is on Week 1.
Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll described the Walker situation as “uncharted territory” for both the rookie running back and the team. For now, everyone is just taking it day by day, the coach told reporters.
Pete Carroll on rookie RB Ken Walker III (hernia): “This is really uncharted territory for him and for us, too, what he’s coming back from. He feels way better. He’s moving around…It’s just going to be one day at a time.”

Walker had a procedure back in mid-August. Preseason games ended this past weekend. The NFL’s regular season begins on Sept. 8 with the Buffalo Bills playing the Los Angeles Rams. The Seahawks kick off their 2022 campaign on Monday Night Football against the Denver Broncos.
Walker was selected No. 41 overall in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft.
