ESPN’s FPI is back at it again. The winner of North Dakota-Nebraska has now been predicted.
Nebraska is still searching for Scott Frost’s 1st winning season after a 3-9 finish in 2021. The Cornhuskers weren’t shy about giving him all the tools for success through the transfer portal.
The last time that Nebraska went to a bowl game was back in 2016. They took on Tennessee in the Music City Bowl, and lost 38-24.
Frost now has players like Casey Thompson, Ochaun Mathis, and Tommi Hill after going to the portal for answers. Thompson has a lot of experience at the QB position after coming to Lincoln from Texas. Cornhusker fans are hoping that he can help fix the offense.
Nebraska is coming off of a tough 31-28 loss to Northwestern in Ireland. Nebraska is heavily favored this time around per the Football Power Index. The Cornhuskers have a 97.9% chance of beating North Dakota.
There was some controversy after the Northwestern game for Nebraska. Scott Frost stated that his offensive assistants should be more creative in a recent interview. Frost’s 5th season with Nebraska could be his last, if it doesn’t go right.
This will be the 1st time that these schools have met since 1961. Nebraska and North Dakota kicks off Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET on BTN.
